Falgarwood is a fantastic area full of reasonably prices homes in the Oakville area. Because it was developed relatively early, the homes tend to be a little older. That said, with it comes great value in a mature neighbourhood. An abundance of parks, trails, and trees lend to many homes in Falgarwood having extremely private yards on greenspace. Homes in Falgarwood mostly consist of detached bungalows, split levels, and two storeys. There are some other options including townhomes and apartments as well. There is a very neighbourly feel to the the neighbourhood, as there is generally less turnover of residents than the north Oakville communities.
This has long been a family friendly stomping ground, and there is a steady flux of them interested in the area. You’ll see a mix of long-term residents with almost adult children, to new families, to even empty-nesters. Even though there are people choosing to rebuild larger, more extravagant homes on those coveted Oakville lots, for the most part it’s a middle-class family ‘hood.
For Oakville, the price is an extremely attractive feature for many—not to mention the proximity to the GO train station and highways. There is plenty of green space, ample box stores and shopping, and tons of great schools within a few minutes drive. I mean really—what’s not to love?
